Overall the stay there was okay. Not the cleanest and the interior of the rooms need some work. The smell of cigarettes is quite strong too even in a non-smoking room because there is a bar located inside of the hotel. I would stay there again but definatly in a top floor.
The room has a Walmart bag over the smoke detector. There are no light bulbs in the lamps. The window on the 3rd story opens and has no screen. We booked the room in advance and it charged my credit card and the hotel doesn't give refunds. The floors are dirty and they advertise that they have a pool. The picture of said pool was actually nice. In reality the pool was empty. Chairs and debris were in a black fowl water. Broken glass all around. I could go on but there is really no need. I have never given a bad review in my life. I am quite generous with small imperfections but I could not let this go. I will not stay here and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Let me be clear, the ONLY reason I gave this dump 1 star is because you can't give a zero. So my rating is a 10...... buts it's a -10. This place is horrible. Definitely the worst I have ever seen. The whole interior of the hotel is trash. Elevator was broke. Towels and bed linens were dirty. Toilet and tub were so filthy that we went to a truck stop to take our showers. Electrical sockets were a safety hazard. Lamp shades were broke. And if all that wasn't bad enough. There was a big blood stain in the carpet in the stair wells. OUr room was listed at $47 a night. When we checked out and made our complaints known, we were charged $97 for one night and told that NO ONE has ever complained about anything before us. I promise you this, for $97 a night I could have and would have stayed at the Hilton.
I travel a lot. I stay in hotels a lot. This is hands down the worst place I have ever stayed. To start, I reserved a room with a microwave, refrigerator and AC. My first room was piping hot (AC didn't work) had no microwave or refrigerator, and the lamp actually had no bulbs or shade. Insane. I went to the desk to tell them, and they gave me a different room. This one was cool, but still had no refrigerator. Later that evening I discovered that the microwave didn't work. The chair was broken and a nasty "suede" material. No plugs basically anywhere. The place was basically trashed. I posted pictures of the holes in everything. There was mold EVERYWHERE. i posted pictures to show that I'm not exaggerating. I legitimately don't know how this place hasn't been ordered by the health inspector to shut down and clean up. There was flooding? by the bathroom door and obvious debris. The bathroom was almost comical the amount of time the mold had been painted over. There were paint drippings covering the entire bathroom as a result of poor work. Long story short, this place is absolutely terrible. I am demanding a refund and contacting the Odessa health inspector.
Its a shame. This could be a nice property with some maintenance and better housekeeping. Ive stayed in many older properties that are really nice and well kept. This isnt one of them. Like I said... a shame. Big room, several small issues that shouldnt be issues.
