Rock hard bed. The room reeked of smoke so much so that it caused coughing. The rest of the hotel had a horrible stench as well. And of course super expensive. Will not be returning for the next trip.
Hampton inn usually always have great staff, and this location is no exception. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and staff very accommodating. Plenty of great food places close by.
Clean hotel with clean sheets. Breakfast is the usual Hampton style buffet breakfast which is alright. Overall it was a decent hotel and I'd recommend it if you need to get some sleep during your travel.
We stayed two nights and I noticed ants in the bathroom, on the floor on the tub and on the floor. I took pictures and went to front desk where I was advised that I couldn't speak to a manager and to send the pics to the young lady's email, which I did. I was also told maintenance would be in about 9am and would come look. We went on to our basketball games and I upon our return to the hotel, I asked again about maintenance and was informed that they hadn't been able to come look at where the ants came from. I then gave my name number and email and made clear that the room number was 113 and I needed to speak with someone. She said the manager wasn't in. After returning to Oklahoma city I was starting to unpack and noticed two ants on a shirt in my bag! So I called and was told she would give the message to the manager and the manager would call me. I checked out on June 10th and to date June 21st, NO ONE has called! I've called them 4 or 5 times and keep getting the same story. After nobody returned my call yesterday I just called and was told they would give me $10 per night for having ants in my room and bringing them home, which is a slap in the face considering I never had ants before and it would have been better to just move us to another room and fumigate and get rid of the ants and at least respond or show a little concern but that would've been too much like right. Our team and parents will not be returning to Hampton Inn Odessa Texas. Our team comes there every year for tournaments but will take our business elsewhere.
Perfect stop for an overnight with the family. Large rooms with sinks outside the bathroom, pool, hot cocoa, cookies, dining room with high chairs. Watch out for the sticky waffle maker and thr myster temperature control for the in-room fridge (it's on the back!). Close to the university, dining and shops.
