Fairly nice rv park. Shade trees. But, way over priced. Midland/Odessa are both CREEDY locations based on their oil production. Any traveler's and passerbyers needs to watch their money.
I lived in that park for more than a year. They were always friendly and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for better hosts I miss them all very much!
Very well maintained, friendly staff. Store with most basic needs. I've lived here 7 years and enjoyed all of them.
We've stayed here many times since 2001 when we were full-timers. It is our first choice when we to Midland-Odessa for meetings. With motel rooms going for $300+/night, it is a nice to have a less expensive alternative. The architecture shows it was a KOA at one time and the spaces have plenty of room for long rigs. Since the boom, many of the rigs are full-timers and some of their rigs are very large park models. This gives the appearance of the place being crowded and cramped but it isn't bad. I've seen complaints about the water, which comes from a well, as being undrinkable. Well, it is minerally (which pretty much describes all of the water in the Midland-Odessa area) but still drinkable and makes great tasting coffee. There are reports of slightly elevated nitrate levels but, quite frankly, you get more nitrates in your breakfast bacon than from this water. If it bothers you, they provide a case of bottled drinking water each day if you want it. I read about complaints about the noise. Well, the oilfield service company yards sprouted up after the campground was there. The region is in the middle of a major oil boom and it will be noisy nearly anywhere you decide to stay. The park isn't that bad and is better than another park were we stayed in the area.This is a nice, well established park and we highly recommend it.
Clean park with adequate space between sites. Lots of permanent oil workers living in RVs.
