In the area for a weekend trip with a small group. We picked this place sort of at random and were pleased with the experience. All of our steaks were cooked to order and well seasoned. You get a slab of cheese and bread at the table, and there was a roaming guy doing some magic tricks. Not sure if he is a regular or not.
The barbecue ribs were really good but the sauce they give you with them was pretty nasty. The next time eat those I'm going to sneak in a bottle sweet baby Ray's sauce in the combination is fantastic. Those ribs deserve a darker sweet sauce like sweet baby Ray's. The steak is the best in town it depends on your server but most of the waitress are really good at there jobs.
This is a great steakhouse and pretty much an icon for Odessa. They owners are very wonderful people and are always happy to help out organizations for events at their place or the community.The staff are very wonderful and usually try their best to serve you quickly.P.S. The bread and the cheese block are great and also the desserts are great.
Food was very good. Staff and waiter was funny and attentive. The place is clean and looks very nice, very Texan. Other than side dishes, there's no vegetarian options.
Barn Door is normally one of our favorite restaurants. Tonight we got there at 7:10 and had to wait over 20 minutes to order and an hour or so more for our food. Some of it was as great as usual and some of it was cold. It was obvious that they were VERY short staffed. If you go, I recommend eating after the typical rush hours. The garlic steak tips and grilled chicken are our favorite choices.
