It's a Hardware store. Plain and simple. After working for Home Depot for six years, I can tell you that Ace has the stuff you'll need for Easy to Intermediate Difficulty Level projects. For example: If you're going to completely renovate a room, start at Home Depot, then go to Ace to replenish supplies; you'll avoid frustration from crowds and the like in that regard. Also, keep in mind HD and Lowe's sell in bulk. Ace sells in smaller quantities. If you need one screw, go to Ace instead of stealing one screw from a five pack at HD.
Good place to get keys made at a half decent price. Also a good selection on specialty keys, auto keys, and accessories.
